My wife was craving something healthier so we decided on Fresh Grill Mediterranean since they had kababs and gyros. My wife ordered a chicken plate and I ordered a gyros wrap for take-out. I got home, popped open the kebab container and saw one kebab. Initially we thought it was pricey restaurant that only gives one chicken kebab skewer. My wife started eating it and thought it was very tender before she realized that it was a salmon kebab. She really liked it but plans on trying the chicken kebabs next time. She also thought the hummus was flavorful and tasty. Overall, she liked her salmon kebab entree. I had the gyros wrap which was in a relatively soft pita bread. The meat was good but the seasoning/flavor was just a bit different other gyros I've had at Greek festivals it was a good gyros I think next trip I will try one if the kebab entrees. It takes a little while to get your food. We waited about 20 minutes which isn't too bad since they were cooking it fresh. Although there are several other restaurants in the mall and the parking lot is not large, you can usually find a parking spot. For a healthier option with good food, give Fresh Grill Mediterranean a shit (we went to the Van Nuys location).
Ordered the beef lule and it was very flavorful and filling. The portion was enough for seconds or to share.
I can't believe I haven't rated this place before!!! But let me tell you why it's a 5 star Mediterranean grill: This was actually the first Mediterranean restaurant I tried pre-pandemic (back in the day when I was still eating chicken), and I absolutely loved it! The flavor, the portions, the price. No need to go elsewhere. However, after the pandemic, I became vegetarian, and I never thought falafel was made out of veggies... I KNOW!!! Well, I didn't know back then, so I came here less often; and when I did, I only got their rice, salad, fries, and veggie skewers. It wasn't until I actually read what falafel was made of, that I ended up trying it at another place (out of town), and I can't get enough of their falafel now!! I'm so glad to be back more often because their food is delicious! Another thing I would like to highlight is their consistency in flavor and portions. I was out of town about a month ago, and I was craving Mediterranean food, so I decided to try another place, but their sauces and overall flavor did not compare. Plus, I ended up paying more for the same food I get here at a lower price and a fuller plate. I honestly wish I could have eaten Fresh Grill instead. Staff is always friendly. Zero complaints. I definitely recommend this place.
Just had dinner at this place. Found it on Yelp. We ordered the gyro plate. Delicious and tasty gyro meat wrapped in a legit fresh pita. Also came with a side salad with the dressing on the side (nice touch). Tall guy took our order and was helpful with his descriptions. I'll be back next time I'm in the valley!
What a wonderful surprise! I love Mediterranean food and Yelp did me right with this place! The cashier was so sweet and recommended the best items on the menu which were perfect to what I was craving! It's a cozy space with enough tables and quick service! I really enjoyed my meal!
I could eat here every day. Healthy, clean, fresh, delicious, affordable. The first thing I ordered here was the ground chicken shawarma. It was unbelievably juicy, tender, flavorful, and filling. Even the rice and the salad were a perfect balance. Their steak is also extremely tender and flavorful. I have had very few hummuses I truly enjoyed but theirs is one of the best I've ever had. Their baba ganoush is also so smokey and delicious, I could eat it by the spoonful. One of my favorite spots in LA!!
I visited Fresh Grill Mediterranean on a Thursday night, and they had quite a few customers. Parking was easy, but I could imagine that it might be more difficult on weekends. I was impressed that not knowing what some of these looked like, they had a slideshow of all the dishes that they served on screen and provided commentary and walkthroughs. I settled on the Kebab Combination with ground beef, and the food was delicious. The pita bread was on the thinner side, almost the thickness of chips, but their hummus was very creamy and tasty. The meats in general were cooked very well but leaned towards the saltier side for me. What impressed me was the chicken because i have never had such tender chicken, and it was the highlight of the meal.
